The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met this day at 9:03 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Paul J. Massicotte, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Enverga, Fraser, Griffin, Lang, MacDonald, Massicotte and Seidman (7).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Galvez (1).
In attendance: Marc Leblanc and Sam Banks, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 10, 2016, the committee continued its study on the effects of transitioning to a low carbon economy. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)

Allan Fogwill, President and Chief Executive Officer (by video conference).
The deputy chair made a statement.
It was agreed:
That, pursuant to the order adopted by the Senate on December 7, 2016, the membership of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be increased by one non-voting member chosen from the senators who are not members of a recognized party, to be designated after the usual consultations.
Mr. Fogwill made a statement and answered questions.
At 9:45 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the deputy chair.
