The Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights met this day at 11:32 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the Honourable Jim Munson presiding.
Senators present: The Honourable Senators Bernard, Brazeau, Hartling, Munson and Pate (5).
In attendance: Erin Shaw and Ryan van den Berg, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, December 15, 2016, the committee continued its study on the issues relating to the human rights of prisoners in the correctional system. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 14.)

Dr. Brad Booth, Vice President.
The Honourable Senator Munson made a statement.
Ms. Lockwood made a statement and answered questions.
At 12:25 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 12:30 p.m., the committee resumed.
Dr. Fedoroff and Dr. Booth made statements and answered questions.
At 1:36 p.m., the committee adjourned.
