Business of the Senate

The Hon. the Speaker: Honourable senators, we have a major problem, and we don’t quite know where this will go in the next half hour or 40 minutes. There has been agreement that we suspend until four o’clock, at which time we will automatically adjourn until two o’clock tomorrow.

There has also been agreement that, pursuant to rule 3-6(1), I will issue a recall of the Senate for one o’clock tomorrow.

Is it agreed, honourable senators?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Hon. the Speaker: The Senate is suspended until 4 p.m., at which time we will automatically adjourn until 2 p.m. tomorrow, and a recall will be issued by the Speaker for 1 p.m. tomorrow.
