Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Thursday, February 21, 2002:

The Honourable Senator Andreychuk moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Comeau:

That the Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights be authorised to examine and report on the status of Canada's adherence to international human rights instruments and on the process whereby Canada enters into, implements, and reports on such agreements; and

That the Committee report to the Senate no later than March 31, 2003.
