The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met in camera this day in room W110, 1, Wellington Street, and with videoconference, at 9:05 a.m. ET, the chair, the Honourable Paul J. Massicotte, presiding.

Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Arnot, Carignan, P.C., Dawson, Galvez, Gignac, Massicotte, McCallum, Miville-Dechêne, Patterson, Seidman, Verner, P.C. and Yussuff (12).

Participating in the meeting: Ericka Dupont and Barbara Reynolds, procedural clerks and Louise Martel, administrative assistant, Committees Directorate; Sam Banks and Jesse Good, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee discussed in camera a draft agenda (future business).

It was agreed that each committee member be allowed to have one staff person present at in camera meetings, unless otherwise agreed to by the committee.

It was agreed that that the committee allow the transcription of the in camera portion of today's meeting, that one copy be kept with the clerk of the committee for consultation by committee members present or by the committee analysts; and that the transcript be destroyed by the clerk when authorized to do so by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, but no later than at the end of this parliamentary session.

At 10:28 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
