The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:46 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Claude Carignan, P.C., presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Carignan, P.C., Dalphond, Forest, Loffreda, MacAdam, Pate, Ross, Senior and Smith (9).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senator Tannas (1).
Participating in the meeting: Sylvain Fleury and Shaowei Pu, analysts, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the committee continued its examination of matters relating to federal estimates generally and other financial matters.
WITNESSES:
Public Services and Procurement Canada:
Dominic Laporte, Assistant Deputy Minister, Procurement Branch;
Lysane Bolduc, Director General, Professional Services Transformative Solutions Sector.
Dominic Laporte made a statement and, together with Lysane Bolduc, answered questions.
At 7:43 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:50 p.m., the committee resumed.
At 7:50 p.m., pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the committee continued its examination of the practice of including non-financial matters in bills implementing provisions of budgets and economic statements.
