The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met this day at 7:32 p.m., in room B30, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Joan Kingston, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Arnot, Kingston, McCallum, Miville-Dechêne, Verner, P.C., Wells (Newfoundland and Labrador) and Youance (7).
Participating in the meeting: Avalon Jennings, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the committee began its consideration of the subject matter of those elements contained in Divisions 32, 40, 41 and 42 of Part 5 of Bill C-15, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on November 4, 2025.

Stephanie Lane and Nick Covelli each made a statement and, together with Jenna MacDonald, answered questions.
