The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:33 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Claude Carignan, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cardozo, Carignan, P.C., Dalphond, Forest, Hébert, MacAdam, Marshall and Oudar (8).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senator Pupatello (1).

Participating in the meeting: Sylvain Fleury and Michaël Lambert-Racine, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the committee continued its consideration of the subject matter of all of Bill C-15, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on November 4, 2025.

At 6:36 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 6:37 p.m., the committee resumed.

Theo Argitis and David MacDonald each made a statement and answered questions.

At 7:33 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 7:37 p.m., the committee resumed.

Geneviève Paul, DT Cochrane and Lisa Freeman each made a statement and, together with Ann Ellefsen, answered questions.

At 8:36 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
