The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9 a.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry W. Smith, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Arnold, Aucoin, Cormier, Dasko, Lewis, Miville-Dechêne, Mohamed, Quinn, Simons, Smith and Wilson (11).
Participating in the meeting: Geneviève Gosselin and Marion Ménard, Analysts, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the committee began its study on such issues as may arise from time to time relating to transport and communications generally. (Topic: Update on Canada’s critical transportation infrastructure)

Paul Sandhar-Cruz, Ryan Schwartz and Jeff MacDonald each made a statement and answered questions.
