THE SENATE — Business of the Senate

Honourable senators, with leave of the Senate and notwithstanding rule 5-5(k), I move:

That, notwithstanding any provision of the Rules or previous order, for today’s sitting, the period for Senators’ Statements be extended by 18 minutes, to be used for the purpose of paying tribute to the victims of the tragedy in Wainwright, Alberta; and

That, notwithstanding rule 4-2(3), for today’s sitting, a senator making a statement be permitted more than one intervention.
