Changes in membership of the committee:
Pursuant to rule 85(4), membership of the committee was amended as follows:
The names of the Honourable Senators Mahovlich, Moore, Fraser, Johnstone and De Bané were substituted for those of the Honourable Senators Butts, De Bané, Poy, Stollery and Johnstone (March 22, 1999).
The names of the Honourable Senators Grimard and Nolin were substituted for those of the Honourable Senators Bolduc and Lavoie-Roux (March 23, 1999 ).
