Wednesday, September 18, 2019 — Senator Mohamed-Iqbal Ravalia meets with the Ambassador to United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Fahad Al-Raqbani, and Dr. Margaret Steele, Dean of Medicine at Memorial University, and their teams to discuss collaboration in education, research and international development.

Thursday, September 19, 2019 – Senators Judith G. Seidman, Jim Munson and Julie Miville-Dechêne meet with Parliamentary Internship Programme participants to discuss how senators represent Canadians.

Sunday, October 20, 2019 — Senator Ratna Omidvar (far right) celebrates Diwali — the  festival of light — with her colleagues (left to right), senators Rosemary Moodie, Donna Dasko and Salma Ataullahjan along with civic engagement and business partners from the Greater Toronto Area.

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 — Senator Percy Downe meets with His Excellency Alvin Smith, Bahamas High Commissioner to Canada, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, to discuss the island to island relationship between both countries. Many students from the Bahamas study at Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island.

Friday, October 25, 2019 — Senator Ratna Omidvar talks to graduate students at the Ryerson School of Journalism about migration, diversity and inclusion in cities.

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 — Senator Chantal Petitclerc attends the 64th Induction Festival for Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame gala in Toronto, where she also emceed the National Media Conference.

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 — Senator Tony Loffreda meets with representatives from SNAP (Stop Now And Plan) in Montreal. SNAP seeks to help children struggling with behaviour issues and help parents make better choices in the moment.

Friday, November 1, 2019 — Senator Lucie Moncion attends the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada’s Partners Forum in Ottawa, where she delivered opening remarks.

Sunday, November 3, 2019 – Senator Paula Simons takes a selfie with teachers at the first Alberta Teachers Institute on Parliamentary Democracy in Edmonton. She was the Institute’s keynote speaker.
